Alum Sandy Longhorn's second collection of poems,
The Girlhood Book of Prairie Myths, is now available from
Jacar Press. The collection won the 2013 Jacar Press Full Length Book Contest, judged by Stuart Dischell, who claims, "These sly, beautifully crafted poems inhabit and haunt the heart-land." Of the book, fellow alum Al Maginess writes, "A wild imagination launches these poems into flight and sees them land in a place of wisdom."
