News from Pizzolatto

Nic Pizzolatto, who graduated from the MFA program in 2005, has placed his first novel with Scribner. The novel, titled Galveston, is scheduled for release in early 2010. And one of Nic's short stories, "Wanted Man," has been selected for Best American Mystery Stories 2009 by editor Otto Penzler.

McHugh accepted by Garbanzo

Two of Ashley McHugh's poems — "To The New Year" and "All You Need Is Love" — have been accepted by Garbanzo. Ashley is a second-year student in the MFA program.
